Abstract

          The study aims:1. To determine the cost of farming system onion 2. To determine income of farming system onions 3. To determine whether the farm is worth it or not.  This result was conducted in the experimintal BBPP Binuang for 3 months from April until the month of June 2016. Analysis of data used in this study :1). Analysis BEP Volume Production 2.)Analysis BEP Production Price 3.)Analysis B/C ratio 4.) Analysis of ROI. Production volume analysis result show 146,7 kg, the analysis results BEP price production show Rp. 11.404,11;the analysis results B/C ratio 1,31 show that the farm should be develoved onion, whereas the analysis results show 31,53 % ROI. The results of analysis of total cost production Rp.81.503.030, while the results of the analysis of the total revenue Rp.107.201.850;the results of cost analysis show profit each harvest of Rp.25.698.000

Abstract

Research aimed to determine survival of tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) in dry transportation system. The research was conducted at Beach Fish  Center of Tanjung Laut Indah bontang southern districts - East Kalimantan. Testing animals is a tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) amounted 12 fishes an average weight ranging 350 - 400 grams, which is the test animals are included in consumption level and ready to be marketed. The research method uses descriptive data analysis, with 3 treatments i.e. each treatment consisting 4 groupers fish and each one transported 6, 10, and 14 hours. Each treatment is packaged in same Styrofoam with sawdust and ice cube material content that has been wrapped in newspaper and plastic. Before packing the fish beforehand was adapted for ± 24 hours and immotilitation the fish that have been ready directly using temperature 15°C for 15 minutes and fish ready to be packed in styrofoam with temperature 15°C. Obtained result from all treatments for 6 hours transportation produce survival rate (SR) level 75%, 10 hours 50%, and 14 hours 25%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study identify the parameters of the land degradation, in order to know the level of damage that occurs as a decision-making approach to the problem so that appropriate land productivity does not decreased, even increased as the cultivated area has a function for biomass production.  The first step was to determine the potential indicative soil damage by overlaying the GIS-based digital maps, such as the map of soil type, slope, rainfall and land cover maps and then with RTRW/K.  The result obtained that there are 4 classes of indicative damage land, they are very low, low, medium and high.  The next focus was on the location of the high level damage potential, particularly in the village of Tanah Kuning, sub district of East Tanjung Palas.  Result from field verification showed that effective soil depth (solum soil) > 150 cm, slope 15-25% and 6 soil samples taken for laboratory analyzes.  The results of the evaluation of 10 land damage parameters showed that there are 2 parameters exceed a critical threshold, namely the composition of the fractions and pH (acidity) of the soil.  The parameter exceeds a critical threshold pH found on all samples (6 samples), while the composition of the fraction was only one sample.  Based on the relative frequency score status of soil damage is minor damage with the limiting factors are composition of sand fraction and the pH of acid soils.  Remedial action against excessive sand composition was difficult because of permanent nature, while improving the soil pH (very acid) can be reduced with the application of agricultural lime and organic compost.

Abstract

Healthy lifestyle has become a new trend to leave the old life patterns that use non-natural chemicals. Such as fertilizers, synthetic chemical pesticides and growth hormones in agricultural production. The point people began to realize, healthy and nutritious food that is high can only be produced with the new method, known as organic farming.  The purpose of the study these are (1) identify the factors that influence the production of organic rice swamps, (2) analyze the efficiency of the use of factors of production in order to create an organic rice production swamp land in Hulu Sungai Utara. The results showed that the value of F count larger than F table with F significant 0,000 <0,05 so that H0 rejected and H1 accepted. This means that the variable land, labor and seeds together real impact on rice production. While the t test, factors that significantly affect the organic rice production is labor and land. The efficiency value of 0.47 and a price of economic efficiency value of 0.35 it does show that rice farming is not efficient because it is worth < 1, and is therefore necessary to add the use of production factors

Abstract

Research aims to know paddy farming management is sighted from technical aspect, know how big, acceptance and gain of Silvan paddy farming At Keladan Baru Village On this research meode which is utilized is with method surveys with observation tech, panarikan samples to utilize simple random tech( Simple random is sampling.  Its outgrows total farmer that labour varietas's paddy farming Unus's Siam local as much 118 person, take at random simple( Simple Random is Sampling ) as much 25 % (30 person) of all population Acquired production of paddy farming average 2.679,00 kg / farmer or as big as 4.252,38 kg / ha (4,25 tons / ha) with average 267,90 blek / farmers or as big as 425,24 tin cans / ha. Acceptance on paddy farming average as big as Rp. 24. 111. 000,00 / farmer or Rp. 38. 271. 428,57 / ha. Averagely gain which gotten by farmer in one season plants out is as big as Rp. 19. 994. 267,93 / farmers or on a par as big as Rp. 31. 736. 933,23 / ha.

Abstract

The theme of the research was communication network analysis of Aloe vera’s farmer in the central agribusiness area in Pontianak. The objectives of the research were: (1) to explain the diversity of communication network structure, (2) to explain the correlation between internal and external factors of communication and communication network, (3) to explain the correlation between communication network and farmers marketing behavior, (4) to explain the correlation between internal and external factors of communication and farmers marketing behavior. The respondents in the research was all of Aloe vera’s farmers, i,e., 67 person. The result of the research indicated that there were 7 respondents as stars, 4 as bridges, 2 respondents as liaison and 2 respondents as isolate. There were 7 cliques in the system in which 5 cliques take forms as radials or stars, 1 cliques as acircle form and 1 cliques takes form as all chanells. The research also indicated that there was correlation between internal and external factors and network communication; correlation between communication network and farmers marketing marketing behavior; correlation between internal and external factors and  farmers marketing behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the proximate feed processed by fish farmers in Banjar district. The research location is in the district of Banjar, South Kalimantan. Using descriptive exploratory method with purposive sampling method. The results showed that the value of the feed proximate test are: Protein (A. 15.37, 15.77 B., C. 16.31, D. 17.09) Fat (7.34 A., B. 6, 72, C. 8.47, D. 10.07). Carbohydrates (A. 36.78, 37.82 B., C. 35.65, D. 43.76). Crude Fiber (A.6,63, 7.74 B., C. 8.12. D. 4,10). The ash content (A. 14.67, 13.00 B., C. 13.43, D. 7.91). The water content (A. 25.84, 26.69 B., C. 26.14, D. 21.17). From these results it can be seen that the protein content of the feed is processed by fish farmers are still below standard protein requirements of fish.

Abstract

In the framework of ex-mining land use and development of the company's CSR program, PT KPC East Kutai create integrated programs in the livestock sector called Integrated Breeding Beef Cattle Farm program (in Indonesian : Peternakan Sapi Terpadu aka PESAT) , which is the integration activities of Bali cattle breeding, dairy and dairy products until the product is finally at the top ex mining land . This program has been started since the end of 2009. MoU between PT KPC and STIPER of East Kutai has a special meaning, especially for farm studies program. This program can be used as a field laboratory for STIPER campus, which does not have such facilities. Accordingly, necessary to study the extent to which the program contributes for advancement of higher education in East Kutai. This study aims to 1) identify the benefits obtained by STIPER from the program , 2) estimate the benefits of the program for the campus STIPER and 3) evaluate the contribution program to the advancement of education on campus STIPER. This study uses qualitative and quantitative methods, that is by identifying what benefits resulting from the program and further quantify in the form of rupiah and evaluate it . The results showed that there are several benefits obtained from the program , as well as the street vendors and research into the field laboratory. If quantified, the benefits worth USD 28.9 million / year, with details of benefits as a field laboratory of Rp 10,500,000 / year and as a street vendor and research of Rp 3.4 million / year. The conclusion of this study that PESAT program not yet optimalized with good.

Abstract

This research intent to know technical aspect and farmings economic aspect paddy, and to know labour contribution in family to farming income paddy at Tambak Sirang Laut   Village.  Pull samples by use of survey method with tech observation, farmer sampling that perform paddy farming which is by use of simple random tech( Simple random is sampling ).   Total farmer that labour varietas's paddy farming Unus's Siam as much 80 person,  then done by take at random simple( Simple Random is Sampling ) as much 36 % (30 person) of all population.  Paddy production average 2.135,00 kg / farmer or as big as 4.270,00 kg / ha (4,3 tons / ha).  Acceptance average as big as Rp. 19. 215. 000,00 / farmer or Rp. 38. 430. 000,00 / ha On A Par income as big as Rp. 16. 805. 103,78 / farmers or as big as Rp. 33. 610. 207,57 / ha labour Percentage in family (TKDK) to full scale labour (TK) which is as big as 48,02%. labouring contribution in family to paddy farmer income average as big as 10,29%.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to know the effect of time and topping position of corn and the interaction between the factor on the growth and yield capacity of intercropping corn and peanuts. This study was conducted since April to August, 2016 at experiment farm land Faculty of Agriculture Mulawarman University, in Teluk Dalam village, Subdistrict Tenggarong Kutai Kartanegara. Factorial experiment 3x3 was arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The first factor was topping time of corn (W), in three levels, namely 45 days after planting (DAP) (w1), 55 days after planting (DAP) (w2), and 65 days after planting (w3). The second factor was the position of topping corn (P), in three levels, namely topping all leaves below the cobs (p1), topping of stalks above cobs (p2), and topping of tassel (p3). The results oe the research showed that topping time of corn was significantly different on dry seeds of corn per plot and dry seeds of corn per hectare, but it was not significantly different on other variables. Treatment topping time 65 DAP (w3) resulted the highest dry seeds of corn per hectare, that is 2.67 Mg ha-1 and dry seeds of peanuts per hectare, that is 0.59 Mg ha -1. The treatment of topping position was significantly different on the length of cob without husks, cob diameter, number of seeds per cobs, dry seeds of corn per plot and per hectare, however it was not significantly different on other variables. The highest dry seeds of corn per hectare obtained by treatment topping of tassel (p3) that is 2.88 Mg ha-1 and the highest of results peanut seeds per hectare obtained by treatment topping all leaves below the cobs (p1) that is 0.60 Mg ha-1. The interaction between time and topping position of corn was significantly different on diameter of cob, dry seeds of corn per plot and per hectare, but it was not significantly different on other variables. The highest dry seeds of corn per hectare obtained at interaction of topping time 45 days after planting (DAP) and the topping of tassel (w1p3) i.e. 3.19 Mg ha-1  while the highest of dry seeds of peanuts per hectare obtained at interaction of topping time 45 DAP and topping position all leaves below the cobs (w1p1) i.e. 0.61 Mg ha-1. The treatment of topping of tassel (p3) resulted the highest value of Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) is 1.65.
